Nudity is Now Legal in Munich

Do you detest wearing clothes? Do you find that covering your nipples and gennies feels unnatural and restrictive? If so, you should probably head over to Munich where it is legal to walk around in nothing but your birthday suit.

Public nudity is no new thing for Munich, but last autumn the nude sunbathing laws expired, so there has been much ado about whether or not public nudity should be allowed. I am kind of confused by this since when I think of Germany I think of any number of lewd and lascivious acts, but I am just an ignorant American, after all.

There are now six designated nudist spots around the city, and unlike other places that tuck the naturists away onto private beaches, the naked zones are everywhere, including right near Munich’s main square.

So if free body culture is your bag, you should probably strip off your manties, grab a large brimmed hat, and head to Germany immediately. Just remember to put sunscreen on your crotch.
