Pantone Announces Green Is The Bees Knees

Written by Bryce

Pantone announced this week that green would be the IT color of 2013, and we’re gearing up with some especially cheerful goodies.

1. Pantone Says Green. We all bow in accordance, and happily so, because it was about time green made a comeback already.

2. Embracing It The Easy Way. If you’re not looking to make a wardrobe overhaul, try sporting some of this emerald green eyeshadow by Elizabeth Arden. Apply densely for rich color, or in a light sweeping motion for just a touch. (Personally, my favorite is using this as a liner)

3. Try An Accessory Or Two. This Anthropologie necklace will spice up any plain ole’ 2012 wardrobe in a jiffy. Add it to a fitted shirt with skinny trousers and wedges, or with an overdone sweater and some textured tights. Or, find other wardrobe accents in the color of the year at ShopItToMe.com (you can sort by color).

4. Carry The IT Bag Of 2013. If you’re going to carry the “it” bag, it should be in the “it” color, right? Ramiro Encizo handcrafts purses for princesses and socialites far and wide, and was way on top of the trend before we even commonly knew this was going to be big. In fact, maybe this bag is Pantone’s inspiration.
