I feel like every season there’s a new workout craze and there’s always an equally bizarre name to go along with whatever the trend du jour is. You’re probably up to your ears in pilates, yoga, rhythmic ball sculpting, and Bhangra dance workouts, so why not try Piloxing, right? Well, first you have to figure out what the hell it is. According to our partners at EndlessBeauty.com:
Hilary Duff lists PILOXING as her favorite workout; sis Haylie Duff says it transformed her body. While I’m a huge fan of Pilates because there is nothing better than strengthening my core, and seeing my stomach flatten as a result, I was curious what’s up with the latest celeb fitness craze.
…As if Pilates and boxing weren’t enough, certain dance moves are incorporated into PILOXING. Viveca was a professional ballet dancer who became injured and found refuge in Pilates. Viveca says the class “includes a variety of dance styles such as ballet, hip hop, and Latin.” Punch, balance, and boogie in one—that’s my kind of exercise.
hmm, I was kinda hoping it was something dirty. 🙂
