The Radiant Face Equation

Written by Bryce

Radiant, glowy facial skin is easier than it looks. Try this combo for a more radiant face.

When there isn’t time to focus on a whole makeup routine, it’s important to nail your most important facial feature: your skin.

A clean palette is the only palette worth working with, which is exactly why a good wipe down is totally key for creating a radiant, beautiful look. Simple Skincare makes Radiance Cleansing Wipes that get rid of yucky residue, dirt, and prior makeup while infusing skin with mango extracts to brighten each and every cell. Better yet, they’re oil and alcohol free so they’re good for most skin types.

After a good wipe down, skin is ready for a healthy infusion of something with a deeper, more concentrated radiance boosting ingredient. Skin Inc makes possibly the cutest (while still effective) little mix and match dropper jars of facial serums packed in with active ingredients. The Vitamin C Serum is like owning a small piece of a Harvard chem lab in your medicine cabinet– it’s just that high-tech looking. Drop a few radiance-boosting dropperfulls onto skin, rub it in, and after a few days you’ll see significantly brighter, more radiant skin.

Top it all off with the perfect CC. I’ll be honest with you– there are many mornings (actually, most) when I have no time or patience to wear a proper foundation. Almay Smart Shade CC Cream has become my new go-to for nearly-invisible makeup. A dime size amount covers my face, lightly covers skin imperfections like the hyperpigmentations across the bridge of my nose and cheek bones, adds a dewy glow, and protects me from sun damage. Better yet, it blends better than several department store versions I’ve tried, and in the event you happen to wear MORE makeup on top it layers exceptionally well.

Using a CC cream all over your face can sometimes camouflage the eyes’ natural brightness by dulling your natural lash color– add a swipe of mascara to make your eyes pop post-radiance routine. I love the new Susan Posnick Mascara (I’m a sucker for new and great), but mostly because the wand does a great job lifting, separating, and lengthening lashes. It’ll be on the market soon, and you’ll want to pick it up here.
