Langham Place, New York, the ultra-modern luxe hotel on Fifth Avenue, just announced the extension of its exclusive partnership with Richard James of Savile Row.
From May 11-15, 2015 guests of Langham Place will have unparalleled access to this contemporary London-based tailor to book custom shirt and suit appointments during Richard James’ residency in one of the hotel’s Two Bedroom Empire Residence Suites.

Let’s think about this for a moment– you could easily enjoy a NYC-based staycation at the Langham, complete with spa access (their spa is everything and then some), views, and someone to clean up after your every move (bless housekeeping, bless them), and then bedeck yourself or your man in custom-tailored Richard James suiting. This is a) convenient because you don’t have to skip work (unless you want to), b) a well-deserved treat, and c) a little something to remind you of your inner James Bond.
According to the reps at Langham Place Fifth:
“Guests are also invited to take advantage of the Langham Place, Savile Row Package, which includes accommodations at Langham Place; and either a 10% discount on Custom Tailoring from Richard James, or, if the guest chooses the Made-to-Measure services, a free pair of slacks. Rates for the Langham Place, Savile Row Package start at $845 USD.
Cut from an individual pattern and pieced together in-house by hand, a custom made Richard James suit represents the ultimate tailoring experience, a unique garment that, while cut to flatter, will also reveal something of the character of its owner. The Made-to-Measure service neatly bridges the gap between bespoke (custom made) and ready-to-wear and offers the client a quick and efficient way to have a suit made to their own specifications. Involving a single fitting during which the client chooses the style of suit as well as the fabric and finishings he would like, this is a streamlined service that doesn’t cut back on quality.”
Appointments are not guaranteed and are based up on availability, on a first-come, first-served basis except for guests who book the Langham Place, Savile Row package.
