Shaving Tips for a Smooth Summer

Written by Bryce

Even if you’re lasered and waxed in most areas, the truth is you’ll still need to shave occasionally. Frankly, as a girl who has been lasered endlessly, I can tell you that shaving is still an occasional truth around my these parts. I’m a huge fan of Schick Quattro disposables because they travel easily, have 4 blades to get the job done right, and dammit, the handles smell good (a random but fun perk).

So here are your easy, peasy tips to super smooth body parts:

  • Make sure you are exfoliated before shaving! Use your favorite scrub or try a home-spa approach by combining 2 parts natural cane sugar with one part coconut or olive oil. (and if you’re feeling particularly fancy you add a couple drops of essential oil like vanilla or almond for something even yummier!)
  • Use a shaving cream when you shave, it’ll actually prolong the life of your razor!
  • Dip your razor in rubbing alcohol post-shave to quickly evaporate any remaining water on the blade (you’ll get a couple extra shaves out of this tip, too!)
  • Always shave legs working from the bottom up… start at your ankles and work towards your bikini zone for the closest, smoothest shave.
  • Underarm hairs grow in all sorts of wild directions, so try shaving in an “X” formation to catch all those little suckers.
