Socialites with Big Hearts (and hopefully still-deep pockets)

Written by Bryce

New York is a fabulous place that never stops buzzing… even when the economy is down, the weather is chilly, and shopping budgets have been crimped.

Socialites Mina-Jacqueline Au, Gillian Hearst, Tracy Stern & Anisha Lakhani recently hosted the second LUXE CAUSE, a by-invitation-only shopping event. This event was founded by Mina-Jacqueline in memory of her late father, Asia’s legendary fitness tycoon, Kai T. Au and in honor of his life’s philosophy of giving back and helping others. The night’s proceeds will go to Charity:Water (provides clean water wells), Guardian Angel Animal Rescue (animal rescue group that rescues pets nationally from high kill shelters) & In a Perfect World (aids underprivileged children).

The night’s VIP guests included social friends of the hosts such as Alex McCord & Simon Van Kempen (stars of Real Housewives of New York City), Emma Snowdon-Jones, Annelise Peterson, Melissa Foss, Emily Brill, Jill Fairchild to name a few. Guests enjoyed special tea concoctions by Tracy Stern, who founded SalonTea – a lifestyle luxury tea company. Guests were also able to browse and shop all the lavish merchandise Bon-Luxe, founded by Mina-Jacqueline Au) has to offer on the web and more. Guests were pleased to view Bon-Luxe exclusives including the very rare, very famous Kopi Luwak coffee, known as the most expensive and sought after coffee in the world and the exotic python belly bowling bag. Other participating vendors included Altru, founded by former wife of the singer Prince, Manuela Testolini and luxury skincare line, Darphin. Anisha Lakhani also was selling her autographed best-seller, Schooled.
