I think it’s pretty clear that I’ve been a hopeless CoverGirl devotee for ages (I say this as I’m typing away in a gorgeous pale purple shade of their Outlast nailpolish), but I had no idea until recently that P&G was the mastermind behind CoverGirl, Pantene, Tide, and a ton of other long-time faves of mine. I mean, let’s be real, if you’re taking the time to apply a long lasting nail polish you’re probably the same gal that uses only the best detergent for her fave jeans, right? I had the pleasure of checking out the Share, Love and Celebrate the Best of P&G event in NYC recently for a chance to explore the other P&G names (household names, really). Aside from being a fun way to spend the afternoon with some of my fave blogging gal-pals and my 5 month old (obviously I brought Rivkah with me), I learned the fine art of how to make a completely flawless high bun with nothing more than a foam doughnut, bobby pins, and a little Pantene hairspray (this information was priceless, let me tell you).
Since realizing just how enamored with P&G’s beauty and household products I am, I decided I’d make a concerted effort to check out some of America’s Most Loved products in other areas, too. I mean, if my mom’s been using Olay for years, it’s time I give it a try, too. I especially love that Olay and CoverGirl have been teaming up on products for skin-enhancing cosmetics, and who doesn’t love that? And, at the suggestion of one of my dearest friends, I need to start Swiffer partying. (If you don’t know what a Swiffer party is, don’t worry, it’s basically pop music blasting in the kitchen as you convince your kids to Swiffer-dance around with you… it makes cleaning fun).
