Splurge vs Steal Fashion Faves

Written by Bryce

Good morning! If you caught me on the FOX morning show today talking about some of my fave splurge vs steal items for the fashionable gal, here’s another rundown of all the goodies and info I showcased 🙂

1. Organic Skincare. Organic is the way to go if you’re sensitive-skinned, pregnant, nursing, or just generally more aware of what you’re exposing your body to… we’re IN LOVE with Elizabeth Grant Skincare’s Organics Concentrate for it’s ability to hydrate naturally (and a whole long list of celebs agrees too). If you can’t afford a bottle of this magical solution, try an occasional rubdown with organic coconut oil for extreme, organic hydration.

2. Designer Python Handbags. If you’re a celeb, princess, or total fashion-addict you’re probably carrying a Ramiro Encizo clutch all over your red carpet life right now. Frankly, I can’t blame you because the bags are gorgeous and a fave amongst royalty for a reason. But at around $1700 for a clutch, they’re a reach item for many. I love using these $90 bags from Thursday Friday on a day to day basis for a touch of totally designer without all the stress of “Dear God I hope I don’t lose or break my super fancy Ramiro bag when brunching.”

3. Fancy Shmancy Riding Boots. Tsubo Meroe Boots are $250, a comfy dream to walk in, and loved for their collabs with design powerhouses like Timo Weiland. Save some cash with the faux-leather equivalent at ShoeDazzle.com for under $50.

4. Walking-On-Air-High-Tech Sneakers. On your feet all day and don’t want to skimp on support? I can’t blame you. I used to be addicted to Nike Airmax sneaks (in the $200 range for the cool colors), until I was introduced to Therafit Shoes. They’re made with patented technology that ensures the most comfortable walk, standing experience, or workout of your life and come in a wide range of funky colors (like this bright pink one) for $95. A portion of each sale goes to charity, and right now there’s a coupon code running (making them even more affordable).

5. Glam jewelry. Every time I pass by the windows of jewelry stores like De Grisogono, the flashy diamond pieces catch my eye. As a mom of two kids, spending $25,000 on a bracelet because it’ll look great with my riding boots isn’t a casual occurrence, though. I can’t get enough of Stella & Dot’s collection of beyond affordable designer costume pieces. And, just about everything they sell has graced the neck, wrist, or ears of a totally “in” celeb.

6. High End Beauty Gift Sets. First, let me just say that I’d be like a pig in you know what to bathe in nothing but almond everything by L’Occitane every single day for the rest of my life. The line is pricey, though, so I use the products sparingly (like the almond oil) and replace the rest of my bath steps with incredible body butters and lip treatments by The Body Shop. The products are sustainably sourced, natually fragrant, and super effective. Can’t go wrong!

7. Designer Tea Time. I sip tea every day, all day long. There’s a mug at my desk, my dining room table, and often on my night stand at all times. Since I take my tea consumption pretty seriously, I prefer to drink out of a beautiful mug that gets my creative juices flowing. Hand-painted mugs often cost $40 or more each, and designer versions at Bloomingdale’s and the big department stores are usually in the $15-30 range EACH. I love, love, love this set of 4 mugs in fashion-forward shades of blue and green by Echo. The best part? They’re $28 for a set of FOUR. Amazing.
