Spring Cleaning

Written by Bryce

It’s March! Thank goodness… after months of cold weather, snow, icy wind, and bundles of clothes that I don’t particularly enjoy, it’s just about time for spring cleaning! Woohoo!

The cleaning begins with having a bright, white, spring-friendly smile.  I recently got a package of Crest Advanced Seal Whitening Strips and am in love!  In just 30 minutes a day you’re on your way to brighter, whiter teeth.  Crest really improved this product tremendously, because Adanced Seal now adheres perfectly to your teeth and doesn’t leave that weird peroxide taste in your mouth!  And you can get a coupon here!

I generally use the whitening strips in the morning after breakfast (since you’re supposed to brush your teeth AFTER you’re done using the strips).  Breakfast lately has been my new favorite, Evolve Kefir in peach flavor!  It’s a delicious, healthy smoothie that’ll get your morning started the right way… with 5 grams of fiber and 10 grams of protein, you’ll be feeling full till lunch!  And at only 180 calories per serving, it’s seriously the perfect way to jumpstart any get-ready-for-skimpy-clothes diet! …and not to give too many details, but it’s full of helpful probiotics, that keep you, um, regular.

Since I’m getting back into tip-top shape, I’ll obviously be breaking out the skimpy shorts and tiny dresses again for warmer weather… and what better way to prepare for bare legs than an amazing citrus scrub?

One of my favorites is Nancy Boy Salt Scrub in Citrus, for $21. .  Opening the jar sends you into a whirlwind of sensations… all positive, but it seems to evoke the feeling of running naked through a Florida’s Natual Orange Juice commercial for me every time I open the jar.  I mean that in a good way.  The Florida’s Natural farmer is sorta cute in an unconventional way.

After scrubba-dub-dubbing, I’m a huge fan of getting all lathered and then lotiony with Bubalina’s Tropical Lime collection of shower gels and body lotions.  An 8 ounce body lotion is just $16, and if you smelled this bottle of rich delicousness, you’d be in heaven.  It’s not that harsh lime scent that you might be used to in crummy drugstore products- it’s the scent that would come from wafting on a key lime pie cloud!

Finally, since I’ve put all this effort into whitening my smile, trimming and toning my figure, polishing and moisturizing my skin, and more… I may as well put the finishing touches on!  So, I enlisted the help of Mederma! I have some really minor scars from when I had my son 2 months ago, and honestly, you’d probably never notice them anyway… but I still want them gone.  In just 3 weeks of using Mederma, I can honestly say that the scars are visibly reduced (the color is less intense, and I think the surface area has decreased too).  In fact, I had a couple stretch marks that were really minor on my hips that are now TOTALLY gone!  For less than $25 at Walgreens, this is a REALLY worthwhile investment if you plan on baring some skin this summer!  Even if you cut yourself shaving, there’s no sense in having a nasty scar.  I recommend using the Mederma SPF 30 formula, because protecting scars from the sun is super important!
