Steal the ‘Do: Spring 2011 LUCA LUCA Hair

Written by Ashley

Remington’s lead stylist Teddy Charles gives us the step-by-step insider scoop on how to achieve the runway look.

After raving about the totally wearable hair we spotted backstage at LUCA LUCA’s #NYFW Spring 2010 show (above) we’ve been craving the look for NOW! This carefree ‘do goes with a chunky fall scarf like PB goes with J… which led us to a little DIY experiment of our own. Thankfully, we had the insider scoop from LUCA LUCA’s lead hair stylist Teddy Charles, and his Remington T-Studio tools of the trade to school us.

1.) Part hair down the middle

2.) Lightly crimp the roots and add curls throughout with the new Remington T-Studio Pearl Ceramic Styling Wand [$29.99 ulta.com] We created some crimps & smooth’d frizz with the Remington T-Studio Pearl Ceramic 1’Multi-Styler Digital Straightener [$34.99 ulta.com]

3.) Brush out the curls to create a wavy texture

4.) Section off the top and bottom and twist both top sections back into a knotted bun

5.) Wrap the remaining bottom section around the bun

6.) Pull out a few wispy pieces at the hairline for a touch of romance, spray with a little hairspray and cruise the catwalk!
