The Opposite of Sushi: Frozen Fish in Norway

If I was going to freeze to death, the very last place I would want to do it is in school. Unfortunately the fish of Norway weren’t so lucky, and this sweet bitch of a winter left entire schools of them frozen in place.

These particular fish are located (until spring at least) in Lovund, a small island off the coast of Norway. It isn’t normal for large schools of fish to be this close to shore, but one theory is that they were being chased by a predator when winter swooped in and bitch slapped them with some freezing cold weather.
The good news is, if anyone is hungry these fish will probably keep for a few more months. Frozen lakes are basically like nature’s fridigaire, #amiright?
