Ever since I was a little gay boy frolicking in the woods, I dreamed of visiting a tropical rainforest. This dream was realized when I visited Puerto Rico a few years ago and went on an 8-hour hike. The problem now, is that I have had a taste of blood and I want more. When I visited Puerto Rico I stayed on the beach, but for my next tropical adventure I have decided I want to stay in the rainforest. The Tree House Lodge, in Costa Rica has officially been added to my bucket list. Why, you ask?
You can stay in a fricking tree house.
The Tree House Lodge is basically like every child’s dream fort. It is built on tall stilts in the forest, with a suspension bridge that leads to the front door.
Inside, it has all the amenities of a modern hotel with a few unique additions. All of the furniture is hand-carved out of sustainable wood, the windows are open, but screened (to keep those damn mosquitoes at bay), and the rooms are lavishly decorated with scarlet bird of paradise flowers. The bathroom itself is even built around a 100-year-old tree, which is still growing inside the house, and the entire structure itself is built out of wood from fallen trees to appease you eco-friendly travelers out there. The best thing about the tree house of my dreams however, is that it is affordable. At only $300 bucks per night, it works for either a small family, or a couple on a romantic trip. Tree house rainforest sex is the best kind of sex, after all.
Costa Rica has been on my hot list for quite a while, and now that I have found my hotel I am only a few clicks away from living out a very old childhood fantasy (yes, that would be the tree house sex part).
Won’t you join me?
