I don’t know if I really need to elaborate on this, but I will anyway. Apparently, owning a lion, or other large cat is a status symbol in the Middle East. Since all Middle Eastern guys have to do to impress a girl is ask their father to buy her, the lions are really a way for them to keep up the status quo with each other. And what better way to do that than on Instagram, so the whole world can learn that big cats have become a reliable meter of douche-baggery?
Lions and cheetahs are the yellow Ferraris of the Middle East, and the world needs to know it. If the guy you just met at a club has even one photo of him posing with a cheetah, there is about an 85% chance you will wake up bound and gagged in the back of a work-truck with a bloody ass, on your way to Russia. Although since you ignored his open button-down Versace shirt and gold chain, you probably deserve it.
In fairness though, I know some women might be attracted to rich guys with lions on Instagram, so if that is your thing, follow the link to Buzzfeed and track one of these guys down. Don’t say I didn’t warn you though. Russia is cold as a bitch.
