Travel Beauty Essentials

Our fave travel beauty products for the season

If you’re traveling this season at all (yes, a weekend trip to Mom still counts), you’ll need to strip down your beauty bag to just the essentials.  We’ve compiled a list of beauty must-haves that will fit in any carry-on, match just about every skin type, and even be perfect for your man to borrow (really).

1. Kanebo Sensai Triple Touch Concealer Compact. This little compact comes with a primer that will hydrate and smooth any flaw before you correct with the color concealer. Think of it this way: if you have even a mild pimple with an uneven surface, even the best concealer will look splotchy. Using a primer before concealer will help the concealer go on evenly, smoothly, and leave your imperfections virtually undetectable.

2. Korres Milk Proteins Face Cleansing Wipes. Yes, they take eye makeup off too! We’re addicted to these (we have them on our desks) because they really remove dirt, oil, makeup and just about any other gunk on your face without leaving your skin mega dry. And they’re oil-free.

3. Ama la Purifying Blemish Treatment. It’s small enough to carry in your pocket, and effective enough to use on the most unexpected, irksome blemishes. Let’s face it- zits pop up at the most inopportune moments, but that doesn’t mean you have to be ill-prepared.

4. Skin Authority Vitamin C Serum. Vitamin C is a natural skin protector, lightener, and corrector. If you’re planning on spending time in the sun (even just a few minutes), you’ll want to slather this wonder serum on before your sunscreen. If you already have signs of aging like discoloration, spots, fine lines, or uneven texture this serum will help visibly reduce all those little stressors.

5. Pharmacopia Hand Cream. Our favorite is this portable tube in citrus scent- it’s made with rich shea butter and absorbs quickly so you can even share it with your man (without making him feel like a woman). It reminds us of Countrytime Lemonade with the power to seriously fix your dry, wintered hands or chronic airplane dehydration.
