Travel Gear Spotting: Chic Laptop Commuters

Written by emilyc

I know there are so many of you out there, like me, who are perfect candidates for laptop computer commuters. Let me paint this picture for you: you’re in your New York City apartment getting ready to take care of important business (i.e. Facebook, Pinterest) when your Time Warner Internet decides to do what it always does and not work. You change out of your pajamas into a sundress and nude heels with the intention of walking to Starbucks to use their WiFi. No sooner have you stepped onto the sidewalk with your drab/awkwardly clad laptop computer, when a gay man walks by and gives you that look; it’s subtle, yet somehow screams, “Gurl, you best fix that hot mess of a laptop situation you have going on with that sundress of yours.”

I don’t know about you, but my idea of a successful week is a week during which I do not receive any of those looks. My solution? A Marc by Marc Jacobs computer commuter. I chose to display this particular one in meteorite blue because can you imagine the pop of color moment you could have with it? I say thank Time Warner and their negligence in advance for the inundation of admiring glances you’ll no doubt receive while carrying this commuter on your search for acceptable WiFi.

Emily is a New Yorker trapped in a Floridian's body and loves every minute of her big city life. With a major in international business and years of being surrounded by ill-fitting suits and all the wrong shoes, she learned that the importance of fashion needs to be communicated to the world. To her, fashion is on the same level as charity work and feeding hungry children. Emily can be found frolicking the streets of her gayborhood enjoying the off-color humor of the gays.
