If you have any trick-or-treaters in your life, there is one thing besides an amazing costume that is going to make their Halloween a happy one, and that is a fab trick-or-treat candy tote bag. Seeing as how today is Halloween, crafting your own custom tote bag better be fast and easy, and that is exactly what this DIY project is. It’s so easy, it’s scary.
All you need is:
A reusable shopping bag from your local grocery store in a solid (preferably dark) color
Pencil
Glow-in-the-dark fabric paint
White fabric paint pen
In pencil, draw your fave Halloween design on your tote bag (or cut out templates to make it easier). Fill in with paint (three coats works well; let dry thoroughly between), then outline with white fabric paint pen. Follow paint package’s instructions for exposing bags to light to “charge” the glow. Usually, the longer you do so, the brighter designs will be.
