BOO! 5 fun places to spend Halloween

Halloween is only a couple of weeks away, so you’ve still got some time to plan how you’re going to spend it. Here are five fun tips on where to go and what to do come All Hallows Eve…

1. Salem Massachusetts: Stroll around in this historic town, most widely known for the Salem Witch trials that commenced here back in the 17th century, and be sure not to miss out on the magical experience of visiting the Salem Witch Museum. If you’re on budge this season and can’t make the trip, at least watch “Hocus Pocus” to get a taste of Salem (which sister is your favorite? Mine is Sarah Jessica Parker…so hot!)

2. Sleepy Hollow, New York: Okay, so visiting this quiet little farm town didn’t work out so well for Ichibod Crane, but since the Headless Horseman hasn’t been reported to ride around, I’d recommend taking a nature walk/hike through the eery forests and foothills to get into the spirit of the season!

3. New York City, New York: The Halloween parade in NYC on the 31st is personally my fave parade all year! Not only is the parade itself a spectacle, but the crown watching it is just as much or more entertaining than the freaks on the floats! I mean, New York is full of freaks, it’s nice that they have one night where it really doesn’t matter (cause everybody is freaking crazy on the 31st!)…

4. New Orleans, LA: New Orleans is known for its voodoo, so obviously, this place is a well-suited location to spend Halloween. While you’re there, check out the famous above-ground graveyards that are creepy and beautiful at the same time, or attend the VooDoo Fest, which is a large-scale exhibition composed of a series of interactive, site-specific installations scattered throughout City Park.

5. Key West, FL: Maybe the best place to spend Halloween is in Florida, where it is actually warm enough you can get away with dressing as a sexy nurse or fairy, and you won’t have to worry about freezing that @$$ of yours which is clearly visible through that toole tutu. While you’re here, be sure to check out the Fantasy Fest, which runs from October 21st through the 31st – now that’s a Halloween party I can get on board with!
