Travel Spotting: A Waterfall Made of Fire

Written by Gary

Although I have never actually been, I am constantly amazed at all the beautiful photos I see of Yosemite National Park. Horsetail falls is a small (1500 ft) waterfall located above the El Capitan picnic area in Yosemite park. During the mid to late days of February, if you watch the waterfall at sunset the moisture pics up and reflects the light from the sun, causing it to glow orange. People have taken to calling it the “firefalls” and it seems like the perfect place for someone as flaming as me to go for a picnic. Join me, won’t you?
