If its one thing I love, its tree houses. Why, you ask? Because I have always and will always love climbing trees, and there is just something about a house that says : I will shelter you from the rain and you can live inside me. Reason enough? So every time I see an interesting or intriguing tree house a little hidden spot in my heart (the space where I store my inner child under lock and key) squeals with glee.
The human nest tree-house is located along the Big Sur Coast in California. It was created by weaving and bending Eucalyptus branches together to create a rounded sanctuary for weary travelers. Would I love to see this place in person? Absolutely. Would I spend more than 5 minutes nestled within its sculptural magnificence? Probably not. They may call it a human nest, but it looks more like a nest for spiders to me and unlike birds, I don’t dine on those little bastards.
So I will admire this tree house from afar, and leave the nesting to the birds.
