In my childhood, the only time we went to church was on Easter. I know you are probably thinking we were observing mass, but my mother just wanted us to experience a decent Easter egg hunt without having to do the hard lifting of boiling eggs herself. Regardless, I have walked past plenty of churches and cathedrals in the US. While some of them are absolutely breath-taking they are still nothing compared to the architecture and ambiance of the temples of Asia.
This suspended temple in Sangkhlaburi Province, Thailand is a great example. It is surrounded by the natural beauty of the jungle, and shoots into the sky in order to be closer to the Gods. Nowadays, people go to church in the basements of walk-ups, but I vote that we take a note from the temples of antiquity and jazz up our architecture a bit.
