Katy Perry is giving me so much 1920s right now. How could she allow herself to lapse into this unfortunate slip dress that does anything but flatter at the City of Hope’s Music and Entertainment Industry Group party in LA? To me, this ensemble says, “I’m still sad about Russell,” or, “Tonight, I think I’ll channel Grandmother Perry.” The event was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art, so Katy most likely reasoned that her usual hyper-contemporary look wouldn’t allow her to stand out against the art like a drab, outdated number would. If that was the case, then mission accomplished!

Emily is a New Yorker trapped in a Floridian's body and loves every minute of her big city life. With a major in international business and years of being surrounded by ill-fitting suits and all the wrong shoes, she learned that the importance of fashion needs to be communicated to the world. To her, fashion is on the same level as charity work and feeding hungry children. Emily can be found frolicking the streets of her gayborhood enjoying the off-color humor of the gays.
