Welcome to the Pumpkin Patch

Written by Ashley

Upon my arrival to my hometown in upstate NY in early October– I immediately noticed the crisp fall air, the changing leaves, the brisk chill in the night time, and my urge for warm apple cider and a trip to the pumpkin patch. I then forced my family to go to on a drive through the countryside to check what the local cider mill had by way of fresh batch of apples, cider, cider donuts, cheese, breads etc. On the way back, all filled up with said fall indulgences, we had to stop at the pumpkin patch. I was driving- so nobody had a choice.

I believe that people of all ages can become real thrilled with a pumpkin patch or cider mill, I’m partial to Fly Creek Cider Mill myself. I’m no exception, and as you can see below, neither is my mom.

With that said- I began heavily thinking about all things pumpkin & apple. Ciders, lattes, alcoholic beverages, donuts, breads. The list is never ending.  I have come to find that mostly all things having to do with apples and/or pumpkins, make me seriously, seriously happy.

Luckily, while perusing my daily beauty regime, I made some room for my favorite pumpkin & apple beauty products to fit in, just in time for fall.

MyChelle has 15% off all pumpkin and apple products deal ( only until October 31st) is making me go nuts stocking up on their killer products. My favorite being the Pumpkin Hydrating Mist and Apple Brightening Peel.

MyChelle‘s apple line promises to re-hydrate, refine and brighten, while reversing sun damage with antioxidants.  The whole line is amazing, but this peel seriously helps to re-hydrate without stripping the skin of its moisture.  To reinforce keeping GOOD moisture trapped in to the skin, I recommend the pumpkin mist – ( I know, I know, there’s an apple mist. but I seriously can’t resist the hippy-dippy patchoulli scent of the pumpkin line’s mist. )  After my peel ( usually 1x/wk) I’ll spray the pumpkin mist on my cheeks before applying moisturizer. Whie the pumpkin extracts tone & brighten, the sandalwood & patchoulli oils help to balance the dryer parts of the skin.   You can find these with a 15% discount already applied at MyChelle.com . Guaranteed, you will LOVE this stuff.

For my bod, I’m all about philosophy’s trick-or-treat 3-in-1 duo.  It gives me a little sampling of each of my tantalizing scents, giving me the option to smell like either a pumpkin spice muffin or  a caramel apple.   The possibilities, my friends, are endless. These are perfect to send as a gift, or to give yourself a taste of what philosophy’s shampoo/bubble bath/ shower gel concoctions are really like. In my opinion- I’m satisfied with using them as any of their allotted recommendations. The shower gel foams right up- giving you a thick lather and washing clean, only leaving a slight hint of scent. No need to worry about the smell interfering with your fav perfume. I did find that using them as a shampoo did leave the scent to last a little longer.  And I’m just saying… having your hair smell like a caramel apple on a date night? It can’t hurt.
