Goliath
Once a powerful lawyer, Billy McBride (played by Billy Bob Thornton) is now burned out and washed up, spending more time in a bar than a courtroom. It’s part drama, part dry humor and totally worth watching.
When he reluctantly agrees to pursue a wrongful death lawsuit against the biggest client of the massive law firm he helped create, Billy and his ragtag team uncover a vast and deadly conspiracy, pitting them all in a life-or-death trial against the ultimate Goliath.
Expats
Set against the complex tapestry of Hong Kong residents, EXPATS depicts a multifaceted group of women after a single encounter sets off a chain of life-altering events that leaves everyone navigating the intricate balance between blame and accountability.
It stars Nicole Kidman, and we can’t get enough of her.
My Spy The Eternal City
Back by popular demand, My Spy’s dynamic duo, veteran CIA operative JJ (Dave Bautista) and his 14-year-old stepdaughter and protégé Sophie (Chloe Coleman), reunite to save the world when a high school choir tour of Italy is interrupted by a nefarious nuclear plot targeting the Vatican.
It’s a funny, action-packed view that’s great for mindless viewing or family movie night. You won’t need to think too hard to enjoy this one.
Gifted
This family-friendly movie night favorite from 2017 is a heartwarming rollercoaster through the lives of a little girl and her uncle, played by Chris Evans. Evans does his best to guide the troubled child prodigy to a better life against the odds.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power
Sauron has returned (grab the popcorn, gasp!). Cast out by Galadriel, the Dark Lord must now rely on his own cunning to rebuild his strength and forge the legendary Rings of Power, threatening to bind all peoples of Middle-earth to his sinister will.
Season 2 plunges its most beloved characters into a rising tide of darkness, challenging each to find his or her place in a world on the brink of calamity. If you haven’t started this series yet, start with Season 1 and then know Season 2 is a real adventure.
House Hunters, Season 9
If you canceled your cable and are relying entirely on streaming services, this is your way back into HGTV shows totally free with your Prime membership. Season 9 was only released a few months ago, so this is pretty recent (the same stuff you’d likely see airing on any given weeknight on the real-deal channel).
And if this is the kind of stuff you watch, you’ll want to comb through our home and real estate archives for drool-worthy estates.

This is definitely what to watch on Amazon Prime for free if you’re a little kid trying to get in on animated action!
Sneaky Pete
A con man (Giovanni Ribisi) on the run from a vicious gangster (Bryan Cranston) takes cover from his past by assuming the identity of his prison cellmate, Pete, “reuniting” with Pete’s estranged family, a colorful, dysfunctional group that threatens to drag him into a world just as dangerous as the one he’s trying to escape—and, just maybe, give him a taste of the loving family he’s never had.
This one is not for the kids, so watch responsibly.
Secret Makeover
Is she an angel or a devil? Mitsuko is a total coordinator, polishing and transforming a client’s visual and inner self. She will make her clients successful by any means necessary. Her next client is Natsu Imai, a perpetually unlucky single mother.
Their goal is to turn Natsu into the next CEO of a large family-run company. Will this be a success story, or a raging suspense drama? Sheesh, Japanese programming is Amazing.
A Painted Lady
Bring the drama, Helen! This timeless 1998 classic featuring Dame Helen Mirren as Maggie Sheridan tells the story of a washed-up blues singer drawn into the world of illegal art trade to avenge the brutal murder of a family friend. Grab some popcorn!
We Will Dance Again
We Will Dance Again is a documentary about the October 7th Hamas terror attack at the Nova Music Festival in Israel. A celebration turned into a nightmare as festival-goers had to make choices that would determine whether they lived or died. This one isn’t appropriate for kids, so watch responsibly.
A Missed Connection
After finding a spark with a woman on a train platform, a photographer posts a missed connection in the newspaper, but never hears from her, five years later, they’re seated next to each other on a plane heading to the same wedding—hers.
This one is light-hearted romantic fluff, perfect for a night of can’t-think-too-hard viewing with snacks.
Just Add Magic
In this spinoff of the successful series Just Add Magic, we follow the magic cookbook to Bay City as it moves to three new protectors: step-siblings Zoe and Leo, and their upstairs neighbor Ish. Each of the three brings a unique skill to the table, as the cookbook unlocks a centuries-old mystery that takes them on an historical adventure through the city streets in a race to find a secret recipe.
It’s perfect watching for tweens, loads of fun and packed with clever lines you’ll totally approve of.
