It’s a Thing: Wine for Cats

Introducing a Japanese wine made specifically for cats.

They say that pets often take on the personality traits of their owners, but I never saw my dog drink a handle of vodka and jump into an impromptu New Orleans gangbang, so I can’t really speak to that. I will tell you that my dog loved alcohol, specifically wine and beer.

Japan has apparently caught onto this phenomenon, and has started selling wine specifically for cats. The wine is called ‘Nyan Nyan Noveau’, which basically translates as ‘meow meow’ and costs about $4 per bottle. The libation doesn’t actually include hard alcohol, but it does have juice made from Cabernet grapes, paired with catnip.

Cat ladies everywhere are probably rejoicing, because now instead of staying home on Saturday night watching rom coms alone, they can do it with 10 of their closest feline friends.
