A woman wearing all black has been spotted walking all over America.
In shit so freaky and haunted it belongs in a movie news, a woman has been spotted walking all over the United States, wearing black from head to toe, and carrying a walking stick. In her 500-mile journey she has been spotted in Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Ohio, and Virginia. She has a Facebook page dedicated to tracking her ass, and a bunch of photos on Instagram, as well as her own hashtag: #womaninblack. I have never seen her, but I know that the American Dream nowadays is to have your own hashtag, so kudos to her.
In the beginning nobody knew who she was, but then her brother decided to out her. Her name is Elizabeth Poles, a US Army veteran from Motts, Alabama, who has had a really hard time coping with the deaths of her husband in 2008, and her father in 2009. Nobody actually knows why she decided to up and start walking one day (Maybe she found some inspiration in Forrest Gump?) but people have all kinds of wild theories ranging from her undertaking a religious mission, to her being an actual angel.

Her brother seems to think she is just bat-shit, which makes sense since she does have two kids at home. To me, this seems like a beautiful way to grieve and contemplate loss.
The only real problem I have with this whole thing is her choice of footwear. Walking around in all black is freaky enough, but those slip on sandals are the stuff nightmares are made of.
Yeesh.
