At 80-years old, Ernestine Sheperd may be the world’s fittest grandma.
I hate going to the gym, but the world’s fittest grandma is making me look like a lazy lump of coal, so I may have to change that soon.
Ernestine Shepherd, an 80-year-old grandmother puts me to shame. After reeling the death of her sister due to a surprise brain aneurysm, Ernestine decided it was time to get in shape and her motto in life became “NEVER GIVE UP.” Take a look at some photos of Ernestine and try and tell me you aren’t a little jealous of her physique, because it’s pretty clear she’s not only the world’s fittest grandma, but a huge inspiration to women everywhere. Age is clearly nothing but a number, and treating your body like the temple it is can start whenever you’re ready to make the commitment. Her wiki entry alone is all the #goals:
“Ernestine Shepherd (June 16, 1936) is an African-American bodybuilder who is best known for being, at one point, the oldest competitive femalebodybuilder in the world, as declared by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2010 and 2011; as of 2016 she is 80 years old and still an active, albeit no longer competitive, bodybuilder.[1]“
That aside, she’s beautiful– right?
