WTF Spotting: Has Safe Sex Become Fashion Forward?

Written by Gary

Christian Siriano, arguably the most successful pocket-gay that ever emerged from Project Runway has put his name on something new, exciting and innovative: penises. Proper Attire is a company that designs exclusive condom packaging, and collaborates with designers to make condoms that appeal to young, fashionable women. Their slogan “Required for Entry” is super catchy and funny. My only issues with this are as follows:

Feminine condoms make sense because you want women to feel comfortable toting them around without feeling like prom-night dumpster whores. I think the issue is that these condoms are going on penises, and there is no faster boner-killer than sheathing your partner’s peen in a floral wrap maxi dress.

Christian Siriano is fabulously talented and a total visionary, but I don’t equate him to sex. If Tom Ford designed a gold label condom, I would wrap my entire body in it and throw myself into the locker room of a college rugby team ass-first. Do you see the difference?

At the end of the day, anything that helps promote safe sex is a step in the right direction, so if carrying around a clutch full of designer condoms is going to keep your fashionable vagina from catching horrible diseases like babies, then more power to you!
