Florida Frappe

This is probably one of the most appropriate posts on this site, and it’s not hard to be. Why is it so fitting? Well, I’m from Florida, Bryce is from Florida, Gary is from Florida, and Casey is from Florida, so that explains the Florida orange juice component. Also, the flu is totally in this season, which is why everything should be infused with vitamin C. Florida OJ also contains vitamin B6, carotenoids, and folate to further boost your immunity!

Yield: Makes 6 servings

Cool off with sweet, iced coffee served with a citrus twist.

Ingredients:

4 cups ice
2 cups Florida orange juice
1 cup water
½ cup instant coffee
⅓ cup caramel sauce
¼ cup sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Cinnamon sticks, for garnish

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in blender; cover and blend until smooth and frothy. Pour into chilled glasses filled with ice; serve immediately. Garnish with cinnamon stick.

Serving suggestion: Top with steamed milk or whipped cream.

Emily is a New Yorker trapped in a Floridian's body and loves every minute of her big city life. With a major in international business and years of being surrounded by ill-fitting suits and all the wrong shoes, she learned that the importance of fashion needs to be communicated to the world. To her, fashion is on the same level as charity work and feeding hungry children. Emily can be found frolicking the streets of her gayborhood enjoying the off-color humor of the gays.
