Yum Alert: Leftover Frosting? Stuff it in a Strawberry.

A healthier frosted treat for frosting gone overboard.

Do not… I repeat… do NOT let that leftover icing go to waste. The dessert gods will find you, and punish you. Probably by depriving you of dessert.  This blogger decided that rather than piping the leftover frosting of hers in to her mouth, she’d hollow out some strawberries & pipe it in there, instead. But, take this idea & run with it… you can serve these adorable treats at a kid’s birthday party to give the illusion of a wild treat (sprinkles are a must), without too much of the sugar high, or keep these frozen and on-hand for a quick sweet-tooth fix.

Don’t know how to hollow out a strawberry? Sure you do. Make sure they’re sufficiently cold, and hold the strawberry at the bottom, using an apple corer (if you have one), or a pairing knife.

No piping bags? Use the ol’ cut the corner of a sandwich baggie trick. Works like a charm.
