You don’t have to be on a liquid diet to make a meal out of your green tea. While you’re at it, you may as well throw some ginger and orange butter into the mix. Recipe and image via Princess Tofu.

Matcha gnocchi

Ingredients:

1 lb finely grated, peeled, baked yukon gold potatoes

1/2 flour, plus another 1/2 cups for dusting

1 egg, whipped (optional)

1 tbsp matcha powder, plus 1 tbsp for dusting

pinch of salf (fine salt works best)

 

For the butter:

6 tbsps unsalted butter

1 tbsp finely grated ginger

1/2 orange, juiced
