Yum Alert: Salted Dark Chocolate Covered Banana Bites

Chocolate covered bananas have to be healthy, right?

I’m not sure how many calories can be found in these bite-sized bits of goodness and I don’t care. It’s fruit so it’s gotta be healthy, right? Right!?

Ingredients

2 bananas, sliced diagonally

3 oz quality dark chocolate bar 70% or more

1/8 tsp oil

chopped almonds

finishing salt

Directions

Heat the chocolate in a microwave safe glass bowl for approximately 1 1/2 minutes. Stir in oil. Heat for another 15 seconds. The oil thins out the chocolate and gives it a smoother consistency.

Cover a plate with saran wrap. Using a fork turn the banana pieces into the chocolate without piercing the pieces. Carefully lay pieces onto plate. Sprinkle with almond pieces and a tiny sprinkle of salt.

Place in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
