Yum Alert: The Anne Hathaway

Written by Olga

Celebrate the Oscars with a drink named after an actress.

The Oscars are coming and what better way to celebrate your favorite stars of the silver screen than by drinking some cocktails made in their honor. I’m a fan of the Anne Hathaway. Not because I like Anne Hathaway, but because I like tequila and this drink has plenty tequila in it!

Ingredients

4 oz (1/2 cup) fresh ruby red grapefruit juice

Granulated sugar for coating rim of glass

1 tsp superfine granulated sugar

1 oz (2 Tbsp) silver tequila

1/2 oz (1 Tbsp) Campari

GARNISH: a grapefruit twist

Directions

Rub rim of a Martini glass with a small piece of grapefruit (left over after juicing the fruit) and dip in granulated sugar to coat. Chill glass while making drink.

Whisk together grapefruit juice and superfine sugar in a small bowl until sugar has dissolved. Add juice, tequila, and Campari to a cocktail shaker three fourths full of ice cubes. Shake for 10 seconds, then strain into Martini glass.
