Yum Alert: White Cheddar Black Pepper Scones

Something about the combination of white cheddar and black pepper under the guise of a scone sounds so great to me. Add a drizzle of honey, maybe a little butter, and it’s even better. Recipe and image via Spoon Fork Bacon.

2 cup all purpose flour
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
½ cup cold butter, cut into small cubes
2/3 cup sharp white cheddar
2-3 teaspoons cracked black pepper
1/2 cup buttermilk
¼ cup heavy cream
