The very first impression someone gets of your apartment happens at your front door, when they inevitably look down at their feet in an attempt to look attractive through the peephole. My friend Jason has a hideous peace sign doormat that came with his apartment, and every time I go over there I always mentally comment on how ugly it is. A doormat is your first chance to make an impression on your guests. If you are funny, as I am assuming you since you are reading my writing you should use this opportunity to lighten the mood of your visitors.
The best thing about a doormat is that it doesn’t have to complement the decor of the inside of your home, so feel free to get creative with it.
