Vintage Spotting: 3 Cool Ways to Cut Vintage T-Shirts

Written by emilyc

Frankly, I am scared of t-shirts and won’t even wear them to the gym. Maybe it’s that heinous neckline or boxy shape…I don’t know, but once and a while I’ll come across an old t-shirt that has potential. I’ve scoured Pinterest for ways to make t-shirts like these a little bit more conducive to a fashion-forward lifestyle, even if they just become  cuter part of your workout wear.

Crop Top: Cut off the neck and sleeves. Cut a tapered down triangle in the front. Cut a slit down the center of the triangle, and tie the two loose pieces.

Cut-Out Stripes: Have an old striped tee? Try cutting out every other stripe in the back for a simple and fun t-shirt upgrade.

Shoulder Cut-Outs: This can be done with old sweatshirts, too! Cut sleeves to desired length, then cut out circles on the shoulders.
