The Perfect Blowout

Written by Bryce

If you’re a wavy/frizzy haired girl like myself, you’re probably super ecstatic that we’re getting back to cooler, less humid weather.  Fall is my happy season when it comes to hair.  The crisp air is perfect for sporting a blowout that’ll stay voluminous and won’t get even a tad frizzy.  If you’re in New York, I’d totally recommend getting down to Pepper Pastor Salon for an updated do and a blowout.  If you’re not in New York, don’t worry… just make sure you’re hair is shaped well and you have the right tools!

I love using Paul Labrecque’s Straight shampoo and conditioner.  It’s ideal for dry hair because it infuses each strand with rich moisture which makes blowdrying a cinch!  The silk proteins strengthen and protect hair against heat damage.  The conditioner is rich but washes clean so there’s no icky buildup… fantastic!

paulWhen your locks are all clean n fresh, go ahead and spritz with some of Arrojo’s Set & Style Spray.  This styling treatment goes on while your hair is still damp, and helps give your head a smooth, frizz-free blow out.  It’s a weightless spray that just seems to give the right amount of workability to troubled tresses.

Remember to use a large, natural bristle round brush and work the brush from root to tip.  Keep your hair in sections for a flawless blowout.  If your hair is super-thick like mine, try separating your mane into 16 even sections and then subdividing if need be.  My best tip?  Hold the brush vertically at the end to give hair bouncing, curly ends.
