Sip of the Forbidden ROOT

Written by Bryce

That’s right.  Forbidden root, not fruit.  In our never-ending quest for the perfect exotic cocktail here at TheLuxurySpot.com, we came across Root: a magical mixture of all things wild and good and fermented to perfection.  Root tea goes back hundreds of years to when the settlers stole the recipe from Native Americans (along with their land).  Over generations the popularity and strength grew, until finally a pharmacist actually removed the alcohol (schmuck) and created Root Beer.  Heck, the lovely people at Root put it all back in… and now we’ve got 80 proof root beer, only better.  Seriously, make a float with this stuff and you’ll be in heaven.  As you can tell, our official taste tester thought it was delicious.

This USDA certified organic drink is chock full of natural goodness… it’s got cloves, orange, cardamom, lemon, birch bark, spearmint, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice berries, smoked black tea, star anise, sugar cane, and wintergreen.  Holy good garden, that’s a lotta good stuff.

We found the 750ml bottle for $38.99 here… and I’d buy several bottles.  Come fall, you’re gonna go through this stuff like mad.  It’s amazing in a hot cider, or countless other drinks.  Recipes below!
