Nowadays, there are plenty of ways to deal with the death of your pet, from shooting him or her into space, to getting a likeness of him or her tattooed on your ass. Cuddle Clones has added one more option to that list, by offering detailed stuffed ‘clones’ of your pet, based on a photo you provide. So basically, you get to stare longingly into plastic eyes for the rest of your life, forever reminded of your deceased best friend.

Depending on how big your pet was, the service will run you between $129-$199, and the results are described as pretty much perfect, because they go into painstaking detail to create an actual replica of your pet, down to the markings and hairstyles.

Let’s just be clear: you can clone dead pets, and while they won’t move around and be lifelike, you’ll be able to stroke them endlessly and sleep with them.

If this service has been around when I was a kid, I would probably have had a room filled with stuffed animals instead of broken dreams and crispy towels. I guess we can chalk that up to missed opportunities. But in all seriousness, cuddle Clones is pretty much the next best thing to having your actual pet with you, and you get to forego scraping poop off the sidewalk.

Win-win #amiright?
