Zumba for Dogs: It’s a thing

In the off chance you’ve been researching fitness classes for your pooch, Zumba for Dogs is now a thing.

You feed your dog a rich diet of packaged kibbles, off-the-floor fried chicken, and a variety of other weird things… so it’s no surprise that he or she has love handles and a canine cellulite. What to do? Sign the little pooch up for a bunch of fitness classes, bi-weekly at minimum. And if you’ve grown bored of the typical dog yoga and pet pilates (who can blame you?), it’s simply time to move on to Zumba for Dogs.

Dogs can register for their very own Zumba class at Zumba4Dogs.com starting this morning and the Zumba folks will be running an all-day-long social campaign. Fans can get in on the fun as well by uploading photos of their dogs using #Zumba4Dogs for a chance to win one a one-month BarkBox gift card.

The gift card sounds pretty fun, but, I think the most important aspect of this momentous dance occasion is there is now a very official reason to dress dogs in leotards and cheetah print leggings. As we all know, dogs and spandex go together like cheese and everything.

Feel free to tag @luxuryspot or me (@brycegruber) in any Zumba for Dogs instagram uploads. Seriously.

*This may or may not be an April Fools joke, but the social prizes are definitely real.
