FREE Performance of Broadway’s FELA!

Written by Ashley

A visionary show, that ignites the hip-hop scene.

Mark the calendar, kids. FELA!, Broadway’s most explosive, soulful & hip-hop hype show is performing a FREE show – produced by notables like Jay-Z, Will Smith & with performances by Grammy winning cast member Patti Labelle.  The show tells the story of legendary Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, whose soulful Afrobeat rhythms ignited the flame of modern day hip-hop.  While winning Tony Awards®: Best Choreography, Best Costume Design for a Musical and Best Sound Design of a Musical, Time Out NY calls it “More than a music. An ecstatic phenomenon.”  Totally worth a trip to get in on the action for FREE in Brooklyn Bridge Park, I’d say. Check out the video below, you’ll see what everyone’s been buzzing about!
