Bryce Gruber’s Thoughts of the Day (oy vey edition)

I don’t want to be known as somebody that everybody knows about. -Mark-Paul Gosselaar, “Zach” on Saved By The Bell

1. Cheapest Facial Ever? Today was a pretty rainy Monday in New York. Mondays are the nanny’s day off, so that means it’s just Ben and me… trolling our way around the city, accomplishing things like buying milk and shopping for unneeded household items. On today’s errand quest we were trapped in what seemed to be near-apocalyptic levels of rain- and when you’re pushing a stroller there’s simply no way to also be holding an umbrella. Ben was all cuddled up inside his stroller, encased in some mildly breathable plastic and humming his ABC’s. I, on the other hand, was the victim of a seemingly senseless flood crime. As the rain poured down my face, enhanced my already obvious Jew-fro, and soaked my cotton shirt I realized: hey wait, this is acid rain. Acid rain is usually thought of as a bad thing, but I realized women spend tons of money and time getting laser facials, chemical peels, and all sorts of other stuff to melt away the outermost layers of their dermis… so why can’t an imperfectly- pH balanced bit of NYC acid rain do the same? I didn’t shower immediately when I got home from my errands. I let the acid rain soak in a little. I’ll report back tomorrow to let you know if my skin is indeed softer and more radiant, or if I’ve just shot my chances of having another kid to hell because the acid found its way to my uterus.

2. In Good News. I’ll be in LA for a few days at the end of this month… I’ll be filming a little (can’t tell you what, yet!), relaxing a little, and attending the wedding of a close friend’s sister. I’m super excited, and considering a giant tweet-happy flashmob at LAX on May 25. Anyone down for that?

3. Botox Mom Lost Custody of Kid. Phew. That was a close one.
