Vintage Spotting: The Perfect Winter Coat

Written by Olga

Perfect coat requirement: must make me feel like a winter snow princess.

Maybe it was the Mad Men marathon I watched all weekend or the sudden drop in temperature and the impending dread of walking around in a bulky coat that triggered a certain need inside of me – a need for the perfect vintage winter coat. The requirements were simple: the coat has to be something other than black, the coat must have a fitted waist and the coat must make me feel like a winter snow princess. Enter the Always A-List Coat by Australian designer Runaway Pony, or as I refer to it as “WANT RIGHT NOW.” I’m obsessed with the princess cut, making this eggplant number perfect to throw over a full-skirt holiday party frock. The wool is warm and the collar looks positively glamorous. But don’t worry, the fur is faux and guilt-free. Pair it with a black muff and you got one sassy outfit happening.
