boyNYC‘s creator, 20 year old babyfaced Parsons student Jake Stein, looks sweetheart with a boyish charm and a, but he’s basically designed his premiere line the devil. His pieces emit an eerie, spooky, downright bad-ass feel that will, without a doubt, punk up any floral sweetheart neckline you dare to wear this season, or any other for that matter. I’m particularly in lust with the Gap Tooth Vampire teeth (pictured above), a geeky ode to the dark side. But, checking out the ornate detail in “Bear & his Beau” piece (pictured below), seeing every inch of this little bear’s fur, I see the loss of innocence & a wandering search for what’s real. DEEP, I know; in knowing Stein’s love for animals, I got really philosophical on this one. PS – boyNYC’s proceeds all go to helping little animals looking for what’s real by benefiting the ASPCA. Who knew vampire teeth could actually help society one day?
