Luxe Spotting: Rockin’ Rings by Adina MIllls

Written by Ashley

Adina Mills mixes natural rocks & minerals with epoxy, polymer & whatever else she can get her hands on, to make dope jewelry like none other.

This past Sunday was a big day, getting up early (read: 11am) to hit the flea market with some family & their visitors from France. The sun was a-blazing, but we were on a quest for quite specific pieces of furniture for my cousin & her partner’s new abode. Upon exiting Artists & Fleas, where we found solace in art, jewelry & air conditioning, I found a crowd around a table of jewelry bigger than any other congregation in the place.  Being nosy, I politely squirmed myself in to see what all the commotion was. BOOM, rocks and rings and blings awaited me, all designed by masterful designer Adina Mills.  I’ll let her explain her aesthetic herself…

I have always been pulled towards art that defies boundaries and challenges viewers to open their minds. My passion for infusing this belief into my own art and jewelry design has significantly affected my work, and has led me to create something new and fresh. My designs are funky and sophisticated. They transgress the limits of art while encouraging their wearers to redefine beauty and freedom for themselves.

I 100% regret not having snapped a pic of her beautiful creations on my newly manicured fingers. Check her here and on Etsy
