Paul X. Johnson’s x-tremely intriguing illustrations

“The Wedding Ring” What an appropriate name for this ironic modern portrait – but more importantly, where can I score a pink cell phone?! I am obsessed with the intriguing illustrations by English artist Paul X. Johnson, that are technically very simple, and almost cartoon-like at first glance, but have subtle ironic undertones and clever juxtapositions that lend layers of enjoyment to the viewer.

“Scratching the Surface”

“Beyond the Sea”

“Behold a Pale Horse”

“A Brutal Murder in a Public Place”
