Emerging artist Lars Klingstedt‘s newest works, an homage to Elizabeth Taylor in his collection of retro works, will accompany icons like Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, Cher & Judy Garland in his body of art. Debuting at the 13th Annual Fire Island Pines Art Show, the two newest shots “Liz as Cleopatra” (pictured above) and “Violet Liz” (pictured below) will be unveiled, honoring the late great actress and Hollywood beauty.
“I fell in love with Elizabeth Taylor when I first saw her in “A Place in the Sun.” says Klingstedt. As an artist I appreciate the breadth of her acting ability. What I find most impressive is that her beauty went beyond the physical. Her tremendous charitable endeavors revealed to the world a loving, giving and engaged soul. She is an infinite source of inspiration. I can only hope that admirers of Liz will appreciate these pieces of art.”
The 13th Annual Fire Island Pines Art Show takes place on Saturday, August 6, from 11am-4pm
