Beauty Watch: Artistry Beauty

Written by Steph

Aside from the obvious allure of spending the weekend in Las Vegas, there was one defining highlight of my trip last week: discovering the benefits of Artistry Beauty.

There are two things any kit of makeup has to accomplish in order for me to sing its praises: it has to be easy to apply, and it has to look as though it was applied by a pro. Most makeup kits boast an impressive price tag, or are used by the stars, or have namebrand recognition, but that doesn’t mean that a novice can purchase said kit and leave the house looking like Meghan Fox.  Apply too much or too little, and it won’t matter how much that kit retails for; you’re going to look cheap.

The Artistry Essentials Makeup kit comes with everything you’ll need to create a fresh face in the morning. The base makeup erases lines, blemishes, and provides all-over coverage while avoiding a cakeface look, and the color accents makes sense on any skin tone. My face has never looked so flawless.

The kit includes:

  • 100% pure mineral foundation
  • Vitamin E enriched concealer
  • Colour quad for eyes and cheeks
  • Lip shine
  • Mascara
  • Face and eyeliner brushes

The kit also includes a black makeup bag, along with what I think should be mandatory for all makeup kits: INSTRUCTIONS. They’re foolproof, and they’ll help you create a million dollar look for $59.

Artistry Beauty is set to host a myriad of events in NYC this week from their spa-on-wheels, the Artistry Bus.

This impressive mobile makeup haven is just like a tour bus, except you won’t stumble out looking like the human version of the walk of shame. Look for it this week as the Artistry team hits the streets of New York looking for unsuspecting ladies to makeover. Artistry is partnering with Mark Montano of Ten Years Younger to ensure that the New Yorkers who need it most will return from their lunch hour equipped with the tools they need to fight off aging skin.

Follow @artistrybeauty on Twitter for the latest on the bus’s whereabouts, as well as other exclusive events this week.
