Poor Jean Barnard. As the US citizen “embarked on her dream holiday to Australia and New Zealand,” a what seems lovely 3-year- old boy leaned and screamed bloody murder into her ears until she apparently bled from them and went deaf. She had to be escorted from the plane and was rushed to a hospital in New Zealand. Her trial with Qantas Airlines has been going on for more than a year with their legal team stating that “flight attendants cannot predict when children aboard an aircraft are about to scream. There is no evidence that the child was screaming in the terminal, or on board the aircraft prior to the particular scream which allegedly caused the damage.”
Ok, I get all that but WHERE WERE THE PARENTS?! There is no mention of whoever was traveling with this lovely child trying to calm him down, but only directed at the flight attendants. Being somewhat of a frequent flier, I have been with my share of screamers, criers, kickers, barfers and starers and never once expected the flight crew to handle it. As for poor Jean Barnard I AM REALLY SORRY! I HOPE YOU STILL HAD A LOVELY VACATION.
i think she was just to ear sensitive
