I tried the new RoCÂ SMOOTH PERFEXION Instant Line Corrector yesterday. Here’s what I loved about it:
First, let me start off by saying that I have a collection of face primers and silicone putties that would rival the beauty closet of any big magazine– and that’s just my personal stash, not the stuff I keep at my desk. I am a true believer that a primed face appears clearer, smoother, younger, and generally holds makeup in place for many hours longer, so it’s no surprise that I’m a major advocate of using a pea size amount each morning before I throw the rest of my face on.
Like most other primers, it’s loaded with skin-smoothing silicones and such that act like spackle for fine lines and wrinkles… but that’s where the similarities to other products ends. When you squeeze a little out of the tube you instantly notice it’s greyish in color, as if it’s mixed with charcoal or something (it’s not). The color, which turns completely clear as soon as it’s rubbed into skin, comes from the copper and zinc in the formula that are added for their skin-improving benefits.
Simply put, Smooth Perfexion doesn’t just prime- it aims to correct skin as well. If you’re already using a moisture product with high Vitamin A properties, copper and zinc have a fantastic ability to enhance the efficacy. If not, copper and zinc on their own act as powerful skin recovery tools to help turn back the hands of time.
